It has certainly been one whirlwind of a week for NCAA cross country fans across the nation. Countless universities and conferences have opted to take action for the upcoming fall semester by delaying, suspending, cancelling or (in some cases) continuing on with fall sports this year.
The Stride Report has done our best at reporting the key announcements and new information that we are able to find. We must also credit our readers for doing an outstanding job at keeping us up-to-date with all of the recent NCAA news.
However, we have quickly come to the realization that we will not be able to effectively report on each and every conference or university announcement that is made. That said, we will continue to make a concentrated effort to provide you with timely and relevant news that we believe has a major impact on the NCAA.
Additionally, The Stride Report will be postponing our summer rankings due to the growing uncertainty surrounding the NCAA. We do not feel that it would be fair to our readers (or the athletes receiving a ranking) if we produced preseason rankings that did not reflect the current state of competition.
Regardless of whether or not we have a cross country season, The Stride Report still plans on publishing our (potentially altered) summer rankings at some point in the future. In a world full of uncertainty, one thing that is for sure is that we won't stop bringing you content.
Thank you to everyone who has continued to support us during these crazy times!
