Earlier today, the West Coast Conference (WCC) announced that they will be delaying competition for all fall sports until September 24th. The conference noted that they will continue "to discuss options for fall sports" and that "any further action will be shared at the appropriate time".
The West Coast Conference has been home to two of the best cross country programs in the nation (BYU and Portland) as well as the Gonzaga men, a team that narrowly missed qualifying for the National Championships last fall.
The West Coast Conference joins the SEC and ACC as conferences that will be delaying the start of fall competition. Earlier today, the Horizon League opted to delay the start of fall competition until October 1st.
