Earlier today, Nike announced that they are unveiling Swoosh Track Club. The pro training group will feature a network of three locations headed by three different distance running coaches.

Current Northern Arizona Coach Mike Smith -- who is stepping away from the Lumberjacks to coach pro athletes full time at the end of the academic year -- will head Nike's Flagstaff team. In addition to Smith, BYU Coach Diljeet Taylor will head Nike's Provo team while Oregon's Jerry Schmuacher will head Nike's Eugene-based team.

Per reports, both Taylor and Schumacher will continue to coach at the college level. Oregon's women's coach, Shalane Flanagan, will assist Schumacher with Swoosh Track Club. It has also been reported that both Taylor and Smith will continue coaching their current pro athletes who are not signed to Nike.

Per Runner's World, Bowerman Track Club's pro group will effectively be rebranded and merge with Swoosh Track Club.

In the summer, The Stride Report mentioned on an episode of the Blue Oval Podcast that Nike had expressed aggressive interest in creating a network of pro training groups on the West Coast (albeit, in slightly different locations than where they ended up).
