TSR's 2023 Summer Syllabus

Did everyone hear that? No, that wasn't the wind blowing, that was actually a collective sigh of relief from all of our writers at The Stride Report now that the academic year has concluded.

The 2023 NCAA Outdoor Championships have wrapped up and our end-of-season analysis has been fully published. Now, it's time for our writers to relax for a month while I produce some transfer news and handful of other items.

Naturally, a lot of our readers wonder what happens to our website during the summer months. There aren't any NCAA meets to react to or any college previews to write. So what exactly are we going to do until we reach September?

Well, believe it or not, June, July and August are our busiest times of the year! In fact, our traffic is never better than it usually is during the offseason. Here's what you can expect from us over the next few months as well as a few key updates on the site...

From now until late July, you can expect a lot of transfer news. Yes, even more than what we've reported already!

Transfers are easily one of the biggest and most attractive pieces of content on our site -- and there are still tons of inter-collegiate moves that we have a) yet to finalize, and b) still need to discover! We'll have individual articles, Group Chat discussion pieces, interviews, podcasts, "way-too-early" previews for the upcoming cross country season and more!

If you have any transfer updates that we have not yet listed on our TRANSFERS page, then be sure to send us an email at contact@thestridereport.com and let us know!

We'll also be aiming to release the final edition of our top-50 senior distance recruit rankings for the Class of 2023 in the next week or so. We'll later release our top-50 lists for the Class of 2024 some time in August as well.

Also, if you haven't already, go check out our YouTube channel. Our goal is to utilize that space more consistently in the coming months.

In the meantime, our writers will be doing some deep research (and sending out emails to coaches) in preparation for our 2023 cross country preseason rankings across all divisions! We'll likely be doing our preseason individual rankings in late July and then take the month of August to do our team rankings.

And again, we'll still have plenty of content on the site while that research is happening.

Yes, we may have an off day every once in a while, but for the most part, you should still expect original daily content over the next few months. We feel pretty confident that you're gonna like what we're able to produce.

We also have a few internal changes coming -- all of which is largely positive! My personal goal is to revamp our site in a handful of ways to make it a bit more intuitive. That's the goal, but based on certain time constraints, I'm not entirely sure when that will be.

Once a few other logistical things clear up, The Stride Report is also hoping to send people out to meets this year! Over the next year or so, on-site interviews and such will slowly become more prevalent on our platform.

Finally, if you have any interest in contributing to our high school/recruiting team, our Division Two team or our Division Three team, then be sure to let us know! Send us an email at contact@thestridereport.com after reading over our interested contributors page.

We sincerely appreciate everyone who has supported us over the years. I have preached patience in our growth and for the most part, our audience has been receptive to that. Truthfully, in a lot of ways, we have asked you to "Trust the Process".

While our build-up/scaling will still be done slowly and diligently, we do believe that the best has yet to come! My goal is to create as much value for our subscribers as possible in the most logistically responsible way possible.

So buckle up, ladies and gentlemen.

The summer is here which means that our best content of the year is just around the corner.
