LEARN ABOUT THE ROLE
High school distance running contributors will work alongside fellow TSR writers to evaluate, debate, craft and write bi-weekly ranking updates for both boys and girls residing in the high school middle and long distance scenes.
High school distance running contributors may also have opportunities to provide pieces of content not-related to rankings such as pre-race predictions, mid-season analysis, national meet previews and more.
HERE'S WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR...
Expert-level knowledge of high school distance running (800m and up). Must hold deep understanding of top athletes and individuals residing at the high school level. Must be able to fluently discuss high school middle and long distance running with immediate recall of top results and performances pertaining to the athlete(s) and/or team(s) in question.
Strong writing fundamentals. Applicants will be able to easily construct and string together ideas and stories that allow for a cohesive and easy-to-process reading experience for The Stride Report's audience.
Applicants will have availability for bi-weekly quick-turnaround ranking updates as well as availability for postseason analysis and/or predictions.
Be able to work with fellow TSR writers on collaborative efforts.
Must have graduated from high school. Applicants under 18 years of age will not be considered.
